Flower

At Alto Dispensary we pride ourselves in making Colorado’s highest quality cannabis flower available at bargain prices. Flower is unique in that it is the most natural, undisturbed, unadulterated form of cannabis available. Flower' refers to the smokeable, trichome-enriched part of a cannabis plant. Flower is the most popular form of cannabis consumption due to its versatility and methods of use; it can be smoked using a pipe, bowl, or bong. It can also be rolled into a joint or blunt and even used for cooking. The genetics of a strain, or cultivator, determine greatly the characteristics of that particular strain. At Alto you will find Gelato’s, Haze’s, Kush’s, Landrace strains and exotics. With taste and terpene profiles ranging from fruity (Lemon Kush, Apples & Bananas, Orange Crush) to gas (OG Kush, E85, High Octane Guava) to more unique profiles like GMO, Grease, and Cookies.

We may also have Animal Cookies, Golden Goat, Master Kush, and Kush Mountains.

Experience:

Sativa strains are stimulating in many ways.  Many patients have reported significant relief from depression, migraines, pain, and nausea.  Sativas are highly psychoactive and produce a creative, energetic high.  Many patients use Sativa strains to avoid drowsiness and stimulate creative energy.  Definitely a favorite amongst artists, musicians, and other creative types.

Edibles

Edibles are a popular way to ingest marijuana without the negative effects of smoking or vaporizing cannabis.  Brands like Coda, Dialed In, and others have made a point to combine marijuana with many enjoyable food products - gummies, candies, lozenges, chocolates, and more.

Edible products can be used both medically and recreationally.

Ingesting edibles is a much more discrete form of consumption, avoiding the smoke smell.

Patients can use edibles for chronic pain, anxiety, depression, muscle inflammation, insomnia, nausea, autoimmune disorders, and more.

Edible Delivery Methods

Gastrointestinal

Refers to edibles that are absorbed in the stomach by the body.  Brownies, cookies, chocolate bars, etc all fall into this category.

Oral

Refers to edibles that are absorbed in the mouth or throat by the body.  This method allows the most instant effect.  Tinctures, lozenges, gum fall into this category.

Hybrid

Many edible products are absorbed both by the mouth/throat and stomach, making them hybrid.  These products offer the fast, immediate relief of oral consumption, with the long term, extended relief or gastrointestinal consumption.

Concentrates

Concentrates are another form of cannabis, however unlike flower, they don't have any of the extra plant parts. Cannabis concentrates are the product of distilling down the most desirable parts of the plant, leaving you with only the best parts. The pure cannabinoids and terpenes give concentrates a very high THC level.

Concentrates are most popularly consumed by dabbing, which is heating a concentrate to the point that it vaporizes and inhaling. They can also be enjoyed via vape pens, tinctures, topicals, edibles, and more.

Concentrate Textures

Shatter

Brittle, glass-like texture. It can also have a snap-and-pull consistency. Shatters usually have a golden yellow to bright amber color throughout.

Budder and badder

Slightly oily and soft in texture. (Think of a stick of butter or thick cake batter.) Malleable, easy to handle, and have a sun yellow to bright orange coloring.

Crumble

Brittle version of budder or badder. Crumbly, honeycomb consistency. Sun yellow to bright orange coloring, with a matte or dull finish.

Sugar

Similar consistency to wet, sappy sugar. Typically has colors ranging from bright yellow to deep amber.

Sauce

Thick and viscous; it looks sticky. The color of sauce can range from deep amber to bright mustard. More uniform and prominent crystalline structure.

Crystalline

A single, crystallized cannabinoid. White crystals that can vary in density and size from small rocks to powder.

Topicals

Not every cannabis product is for getting high. THC in topicals can provide fast-acting, localized relief of inflammation, stiffness, and pain. When applied, concentrated forms of cannabis may provide targeted relief without the head high. Topicals allow cannabinoids to be absorbed into the bloodstream at a slower rate than smokable or edible cannabis, while also helping ease pain.

Cannabis Topicals can be found in forms of lotion, gel, salve, ointment, even bath salts.
